You can read about the pier here:

Anyway! At the end of the pier is a restaurant... So off we walked together to eat breakfast there:
It's called Ruby's! Living near Ruby Street, I find this strangely comforting...
On the way back:
I heard someone else telling a friend to come look at this "sand shark" so I went to look too... This was getting close to the beginning of the pier:
I have a couple of videos of them as well... Here is sand shark info:

Then we went to San Onofre Cliffs to swim! Wow!! Hot day! The cliffs are very high... See all those little blobs down there? Full sized people...
Here is looking in one direction:
Then at the bottom:
We went for a walk down to the end of where we could walk easily as there were a bunch of baseball sized rocks (and softball ;-) so we went back... We found driftwood forts, which reminded us of our beaches:
The kids make and play in those all summer at our beaches :-)
We stayed there for several hours.. I'm so surprised because I thought it was maybe 2, but Kurt says 11am to 3pm! The waves were way more intense than the ones at Oceanside... We kept the kids close and in fact held onto them... And they were completely fine with that! We would be up to our knees in water, then suddenly it would be I onto our waists! And when a wave would pass, there was this incredible force trying to suck us out that I could barely hold my ground... Sometimes we would get knocked over and pushed to shore... But again while holding the kids, and only a couple feet deep... Good leg workout... And add holding a kid, it's à good arm workout too!!
We came back; changed, and did some shopping and preparing for going to DISNEYLAND tomorrow... We have to leave at 6:30am to get there for 8am... And therefore we have to get up at 5:30am... Ahhhh!! Fun!!
