Rrrrrrred!

Our little boy was saying things in French with me a few minutes ago... Eyes, nose, mouth... Then a couple of colours. I repeated rouge for him but he was done with saying things in French and kept saying "That is red"... But all of the sudden I noticed that he wasn't saying "wed" as he he usually does with words with the letter "r"... He was making a point of stopping on the "r" and saying "rrred". So stopped Kurt and the big boy from their reading to get them to notice... We were all so impressed! I wondered if someone worked on it with him... I asked if he figured it out on his own... He nodded... Then he said a word that had "r" at the end of the word and he didn't seem to be able to do that... He said big boy's name right for the first time... Then looked at me and said "Jennifer" with the "r" sound! So cute!

bathroom video

This is actually from Saturday just before Easter, so the "today" actually refers to a few days ago... in case I'm looking at this years from now and am confused :-)

Easter and BR update...

I've been making more sock monkeys for birthday presents!

Here's the bathroom floor after K sanded it... it looks so great! I'm looking forward to this bathroom!

Made Paska on Friday after church! It took about 6 hours or so for everything to rise 3 times... but the boys asked me to make it... I actually love making bread!

Some Easter crafts happened each day...



The little one decided to make Easter cards for his cousins/aunt and uncle, and his nana and bop:

Of course, you have to decorate Easter egg cookies! We've done this every year for a while now:

More Easter crafts... I loved this one... very fast, and very big, and we all did it together:

Virtually exciting again!

Here's the actual whole video!! It's a choir of 2052 people from around the world, and I'm in there somewhere! I can't find myself yet... but I'll keep looking :-)



I finally found myself, at 3:52 and 4:45... but very small!




Here is a picture of the participants... I'm 9 from the right, and 7 down. If you click on it, the picture can be made bigger... but I'm still a dot, really:



Also, when I click on it, my mouse pointer becomes a magnifying glass when I move it over the photo, so I can see it a bit closer... I found myself better that way!

Spring break activities!

Lots of fun this week!

Sat: went to buy a Wii game that big boy wanted with some birthday money...

Sun: MTYP show! So great:


Mon: HUGE ice cream cone fest!

Tue: Toad Hall Toys

Wed: Bought some markers that you can use to paint ceramics, because we have a bunch of tiles from the old bathroom!

Thurs: Made a puppet theatre:



And then went to the Brandon Fair! Lots of animals...


and sporting some new 'airbrush' tattoos:


A visit at Grandma and Grandpa's after for a few days (Grandma picked up those great fleeces on our mini visit into town)...


and back to school!
