Day 4! Palomar Mountain!

Drove up Palomar Mountain today!

Check it out:

New had to drive up switchback roads, twisting up the mountain, but it took us right to the top!

But not the tippy top:

In there, works a kind and informative gentleman doing an important job of noting forest fires and weather conditions...

Then we walked a bit... But of course on this one day - in a place where it hasn't rained for 6 months, there are storm clouds... So we walked a bit:

Then drove back down... We caught this sign that Kurt thought was hilarious on the way up:

Apparently this is a huge problem? We suffered no snowball attacks... Just in case you were worried.

Apparently we have been fairly busy, because this happened...

... Until we stopped at a roadside place selling extremely tasty bison jerky, and they wanted it!

Then we went for a quick bite at this tasty place, Los Tacos:

And back to a very busy 4th of July beach at Oceanside!

There are police EVERYWHERE because it is the 4th! At any given moment I was able to see 6-8 in my general vicinity, and cars going by constantly... They have their own beach car, even!

Back home for a late dinner of amazing burgers made by the meat section of Stater Bros, then bbq'ed by Kurt with some awesome corn... And now looking forward to La Jolla Beach for the day tomorrow!!
