Day 3!!

I am thoroughly enjoying listening to Kurt talk to the boys about LEGOLAND today! The older one just said "I'm looking forward to EVERYTHING!l" and the little one said "What water park?" which I think is great because he didn't realize that there was this exciting part! They both watched the Lego movie all last weekend... And it was the movie on the plane... Everything is awesome!

I will have to embed those video links later... Can't figure out how to do that yet with my phone...

Anyway, as can be heard by the sounds of children swiping their hands through Lego pieces in various locations around this beach house, we have returned...

The kids loved it! They both got Lego sets and were both overwhelmed by what the place was like... So much! Rides, huge areas set up like Star Wars, and Mini USA... Then there was the fabulous water park and aquarium! Wow!

Walking in before it opened... And we stayed right until it closed! Amazed at how low they lasted!

They are under there... I was holding our bags... And this isn't even in the water park!

Then we went into the water park... But its very nature of being water... Water slides, wave pool, tube pool... There's nowhere for a camera so... Not everything needs a photo! You can look up the water park at Legoland California and then know that we had fun there!

I know posting pics of food annoys some people... But I was just so thankful to eat a lovely stir fry for lunch!!  Wait til you see what I ate later... Totally cancelled out the healthy stuff!!

The boys climbing...

A character from the Lego Movie! That movie was really great, and funny!

Got to see the actual set of the Lego movie! The kids loved it!

Then we went to an aquarium on the site... So cool! Sharks, rays, jellyfish...

Here are some cute little jellyfish:

Now... Throughout the day, we went on rides with the kids. I must take a moment and admit that I was quietly hoping one is them would absolutely hate the idea of going  on rollercoasters so I would have the excuse to not go... Or at least after the first one, someone would decide they are done... For example... Here is an unflattering pic of me on the first rollercoaster - which the older kid pointed out after that it was a little kid one...

Yeah... They are all happy, and the older one is in the middle of screaming "this is awesome"... While I am just too freaked out...

So... Yeah... I had to go on 2 more... I thought the last one was something else until we got there... So I thought I was done... Sheesh... It was crazy.  When it was slowing to a stop, I knew I was in trouble for the rest of the trip, because both boys were screaming about how amazing it was and I said "Okay, Mommy's just crying a little bit..." So they start laughing at me... And after we got off they were patting my arms, saying "Awww... It's okay mommy... Zuuuzuuu" which is the mocking thing I say when I think they are overreacting to something... Awww... Mommy is so funny ... Augh! We haven't even GONE to Disneyland yet!! That's like ...2 DAYS!!

I kept saying "I'm not crying... It's just some sunscreen in my eyes..." Which afterwards it sort of was... But up there... It was tears, man...

But after, we had apple fries... So it all worked out!  Apple fries!! Oh my word! Dipped in whipped cream!!

An aside, while I write this post...Sheesh! The fireworks here have been going off for, like, 20 minutes at least! And this is a small town! I always feel like "was that it?" at our New Years ones... Or wait... No it's the Santa Claus parade... And I'm not trying to be mean... I actually am wondering... We wanted to go but don't know where they were going to be... They are doing them a day before the 4th here... Kurt says it is a special 175th anniversary for this town.  Anyway we will see them at Disneyland... If I can see through my rollercoaster tears...

We also had churros dipped in chocolate... That was amazing... If you are going to blow your eating regime for the day, then it better be awesome... And it was! Callebaut chocolate... I made baked churros last summer so I knew I'd like them... These were large... I love them!  I didn't eat dinner after that which is weird... But I was full!  I don't eat like that ever so it's not sitting well right now... But tomorrow we are taking it easy... By hiking on a mountain and wave jumping! Ha! But it's still a calmer day in nature... Looking forward to it...
