There are sea lions all over the place, which is cute... But warning signs saying to keep back because they are unpredictable:
See the kayaks behind the birds? We are going to do that tour in a few days! Woohoo!!
There are beach coves in various spots among the cliffs, like this little one:
We walked all along a section of cliffs, and had moments of watching sea lions, and little crabs moving around... We went to a tourist place to pick up some sun-activated t-shirts for the boys: they are white, with a picture on it... Then when you go out into the sun there are colours added... Then we went for lunch at Smashburger :-)
After we went to the Birch Aquarium...
I didn't have my flash on for these or other pictures from the other day; so as not to disturb the animals... So fun!
In one area, there was a part where you could gently touch the fish, star fish etc, just like at the aquarium at Legoland... They liked that!

That is the main beach; which we didn't go to... We are going back on a different day to do a kayak tour, so maybe we will go then!
After all this, we went back to our beach house to go for a swim... Seems to be the kids' favourite! Good thing we have this home base to do this whenever we want... Watched the sunset while jumping in waves :-) I hope the pictures worked on my other camera (the battery was fading)...
Tomorrow: Ruby's at the end of the pier for breakfast; then San Onofre Beach! Hiking... Swimming... Relaxing before this week's onslaught of rollercoasters (ahhh)!!!!!!
