Whoa! Way behind here!

Let me sum up!

The boys did a great job showing us what they are learning at their school in April!

We went to the Manitoba Museum, and had such a great day that we bought a family pass!

Kurt re-did the cupboards in the kitchen at the beach!  All we need to do now is paint!

At the beginning of May, Commander Chris Hadfield took time out from his many science experiments  on the International Space Station to sing the Music Monday song, live, with over 700,000 students from across Canada!  My parents brought my boys to my school so they could see it!

Here is the song he did with everyone:

Here is the recording of the live link from that day (this is quite long... but if you are truly interested, here it is!):

Then... I broke a bone in my foot... I was just walking to my van on the grassy boulevard... just went over on it... thought it was just a sprain but it looked too swollen so I went to Pan Am.  Nope.  Broken... and it is the right foot so I couldn't drive for a month.  But - apparently I could go on the beach!  The sand was calling me!

That was Mother's Day (not the day I broke it, but the day of the picture).  On the way back up from the beach, the big boy said to me "This must be the worst Mother's Day ever for you."  I said something like:  not at all... this is just an annoyance.  Look at me... I'm here with my boys, on the beach, and it's a beautiful day... this is wonderful.

Then look at the special heart rock the little one found for me... what a little special guy!

Speaking of special guys!  SOMEONE started SOCCER in May!  Cute!

AND!  Someone did a step dance on stage all by himself!

Just found out this year that we have ancestors from several generations ago who were First Nations (Cree and Ojibway), voyageur, worked for The Hudson's Bay Company, The Northwest Company...  I had no idea!  So interesting!  Made Festival du Voyageur have a whole new sense for me this year!

Here he is again, doing a fantastic tap move!  Yes, it is blurry... but a great jump nonetheless!

We went to the opening day of the St. Norbert Farmer's Market!  I had to wear a bag over my boot (that I wear for my broken foot) because it was really mucky!  But - we got all our favourites!  Vinetarte, empanadas, bison meat, rollkuchen... yay!
