Was so busy experiencing all these things with the family that I'm finding it hard to have time to write it all down!
We did our Advent Calendar activities again this year.
2. Make Christmas or winter art... K was still sick, so this is S's:
3. Read an Xmas story... This may have gotten missed because K wasn't feeling well still?
4. Make an Xmas craft:
5. Go to bookstore and pick a special Xmas book together... They (particularly the little one) picked Pete the Cat Saves Christmas :-)
6. Get out Xmas decorations! Particularly little S went around and decorated! Very cute!
Same day - set up the Nativity - we have a cute little nativity set that we set up in the toy room.
7. One of those back there was writing to Santa. On the 7th, they delivered their letters:
Then we went to the zoo...
And picked up our tree on the way home...
8. Says buying supplies for a foodbank... so the kids took items to school, and I did as well.
9. Do a service project - made cookies for Lunches with Love, and bought blankets for their care packages.
10. S's school concert! "Flakes" - so cute! He had a little trio he was singing in, but he got his own mic! People kept coming and telling me how amazing he is at singing!
11. A "random act of kindness" - we went to a Tim Horton's, then bought a $5 gift card to be given to the next person at the drive thru... then we left and enjoyed our hot chocolates :-)
12. Visit Santa! We went to just visit Santa to tell him what we want for Xmas... we didn't get pictures because we already did with Skye before!
As well, it was tree decorating night!!
13. Lots of things! On the list was getting an ornament from 10 000 Villages:
and get MCC donations as gifts for family... then an Xmas movie and popcorn in the evening!
S is informing me that this is not the ornament he bought this year. Well, this is ONE he bought in the past... he says last year. You get the idea.
Aside from that, we went to "Bethlehem Live!" That was really excellent! Loved it!
They are not kidding. That there, is a little baby! S had that gig one year!
Look at those acting skills! And look at the protective sheep on the right (his bro):
13. BUSY DAY! We went to church, then S's last swimming, where he got his level 4! Yay! Then there was a karate xmas party (did I tell you the boys are in karate? They are! With me... did I tell you I have been in karate since 2011 and I have my green belt? Well.. I do! I'll update when I have my black belt :-) Then we had a family friend's bday party... Kurt went to none of this as now HE didn't feel well... so he stayed home with the dog, who waited for us like this all day:
She's kind of a cat:
Until dark... awww, little lady!
On our list for today was making new xmas music or discovering our own. K made up a great tune idea but we have yet to do it. Updates later.
15. Make Xmas cards for teachers and friends... they took this quite seriously and made great cards!
16. They made Lego decorations! Cute! Put them on the tree, too!
17. Wrap xmas gifts... I think we got them ready now? We had choc chip cookies we made to go in huge mugs that had their own cute sweaters on... that sounds weird... I mean like coffee cozies... anyway... they were cute! They also had cinnamon scented ornaments in them that they had made last year.
18. Gifts to teachers... but actually they gave on Friday
19. Make xmas milkshakes - Kurt did this with them.
20. Went to MTYP and saw Peter Pan! Awesome!
21. Kurt's bday! Had pancakes and went skating!
22. Find a traditional recipe and make it - short bread, to be dipped in chocolate... ended up being sugar cookies but those are good too :-)
23. Have friends over for holiday cookies - boys both had friends over... cute! Then it was game night in PJs... fun!
24. Read The Night Before Xmas and open 1 xmas gift! We went to 1st Mennonite tonight because there was no kids performing at our church... beautiful hymns and candlelight! Then I sang at St.Ms for the 11pm service...beautiful!
Kurt and K saw The Hobbit today as well :-)

Singing next to little S was awesome!
Xmas gift of PJs!
Leaving cookies for Santa! He had a lot of requests this year!
Xmas morning they were gone:
When little S went upstairs, just before bed, he just started singing the sweetest song... He had made it up all by himself. He was making it up, with a complete form to it and everything! It was really great and touching! Currently, he doesn't want anyone to hear it which is too bad because I like it more than any Xmas song I have ever heard! I recorded him singing it, then put it into Garageband, added chords and played it for him the next morning... he just wants it to be a song for the 4 of us... sooo sweet!
He sang it for his aunt later after Xmas, which is sweet :-)
Skye found Xmas day just EXHAUSTING!
Reading through our fun times from the year (click here to see this post about our memory jar ... and on that note - I'm amused to read that we watched Despicable Me 2 last year... that is what we watched this year!!):

Off to see Grandparents!
Some tasty Eelen cookies!
A nice little walk with family!
Back home to relax... so... we made donuts, with our new deep fryer!
They seem to be enjoyed :-)
New Years Eve! Got to the fireworks just in time :-)
Had fondue (after having chicken fingers and fries that Kurt made... of course with the deep fryer)

A movie cuddle!
Went to see the Salvador Dali exhibit at the art gallery on New Years Day, then dinner at my parents!
