Our new baby boy was born, punctually, on his due date: Wednesday, November 22nd at 8am (well, 7:59am), and weighs 8 pounds (well... and .03 oz)! The whole experience was very quick... labour started at about 2:30am, and he was cuddling with us at 8am... We were out of the hospital the next day (Thursday) at 6pm.
Big brother is filled with awe and pride to be the big brother... he's very protective and loving with his new little family member. He kisses him all the time, and wants to hold him. He sings Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, and Hush, Baby to him while he cuddles him. Today, while Baby was in a bouncy chair, he started to fuss a bit, and he ran over saying "I think he's crying because he's hungry!" and proceeded, in a soft sing-song voice to say "It's okaaaayyy... I'm heeeere.... It's okay little babeeeee...." Needless to say, he's quite into his role as big brother right now!
